Claudia Sardena 🇮🇹
Claudia is from Padua, Italy. She completed her BSc degree in Chemistry at the University of Padua and her MSc degree in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Ferrara, Italy. She has been living in Vancouver since 2021 thanks to online courses. She joined the NBD group in May 2022 for her Master's thesis research project, where she worked to develop a filter extraction method for atmospheric brown carbon capable of sensitizing singlet oxygen. Now Claudia, has rejoined the group to pursue her PhD, where she will be looking at singlet oxygen production within different burning materials, and studying sources of singlet oxygen sensitization. Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking, cycling, climbing, and everything that can be done in nature!
