About Us:

We are atmospheric organic chemists interested in the fate of key volatile organic compounds in the atmosphere. We currently study the properties of organic matter and organic aerosols to act as cloud condensation nuclei and as ice nucleating particles.

IGAC Conference 2026

NBD group alum Phillip Kahl attended the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Conference 2026 in Crete, where he presented his work on the atmospheric methylamine budget. Large parts of his methylamine multi-phase chemistry reaction mechanism were developed during his research stay in the NBD group.
